I´m back and this time with Nuria. She´s exceptional! This time we worked entirely in the studio … as it was raining!

I´ve never been a big fan of leather, in fact I´ve always consider it a bit too “aggressive” but over the last couple of years I´ve bought several pieces that can be combined with other types of garments for a great outfit. What do you think of this red and black look? I bought this passion red jacket earlier this year! Do you like it?

Eccomi di nuovo al lavoro ma, questa volta con Nuria. Eccezionale! Questa volta lo styling è interamente nello studio…vista anche la pioggia!

La pelle non é mai stata la mia alleata infatti l’ho sempre vista come troppo aggressiva o addirittura scontata, eppure, negli ultimi anni mi sono accinta a comprare diversi capi che abbinati con altri tipi di stoffe mi risulta sempre un outfit ben riuscito. Che ne pensate di questo rosso e nero? Il giubbotto l’ho comprato quest’anno di un rosso fuoco.Vi piace?

Ya estoy de vuelta al trabajo, pero esta vez con Nuria. Excepcional! Esta vez el estilo ha sido sacado totalmente en el estudio … también porque estaba lloviendo!

La piel nunca ha sido mi aliado, de hecho, siempre la he visto como agresiva o incluso con algunos look me ha parecido demasiado obvio, sin embargo, en los últimos años he comprado algunas prendas que se las he podido combinar con otros tipos de tejidos y el resultado ha tenido éxito. ¿Qué te parece este rojo y negro? Yesterday, the weather was good and now it’s raining… crazy weather! I decided to wear something comfortable when I went for a walk like my new sneakers from Calvin Klein. It wasn´t so long ago when sneakers were considered boring and not very fashionable and some even considered you to be a bit lazy if you wore some but over the last couple of years many designers include them in their collections and they have become a luxury accessory. These are very comfortable, they add some colour to a casual look and they made me change my mind as well. Wanna give them a try?

Ieri faceva bel tempo oggi piove…un tempo pazzerello! Per una passeggiata lungomare ho deciso di mettermi qualcosa di comodo come le mie nuove sneakers di Calvin Klein. Fino a qualche tempo fa, le scarpe da ginnastica erano considerate come la parte noiosa e poco di moda del look di una persona addirittura erano attribuite a persone pigre ma, con gli ultimi disegni realizzati da molti disegnatori, sta’ notevolmente cambiando l’idea della scarpa da ginnastica diventando un accessorio persino di lusso. Queste che porto a parte della comodità, donano all’outfit colore per un look casual che mi ha fatto cambiare idea anche a me. La vuoi provare anche tu?

Ayer, el tiempo era bueno y hoy está lloviendo… decisivamente el tiempo está loco! Para un paseo decidí ponerme algo cómodo como mis nuevas zapatillas de deporte de Calvin Klein. Hasta hace algún tiempo, las zapatillas eran consideradas como aburridas y poco de moda en el look de una persona, incluso se atribuían a los perezosos, pero con los últimos diseños realizados por muchos diseñadores,todo estos ha cambiado mucho y zapatilla se ha convertido en un accesorio hasta de lujo. Paisley Print In Venice

This summer dress with paisley print makes me think of the scarfs, often forgotten in our outfits, maybe it's because it's a common print on classic scarves (that are back in fashion). Last summer we've seen a lot of them on the beach, tied as a sarong, tied on the head and even as tops, skirts or dresses (see the S/S collection 2012 from D&G). I've always associated scarfs with mature people, but I was wrong, the main reason is that you should wear them in an elegant but at the same time jaunty way, and not all of us gets away with that. A scarf adds that extra to an outfit and gives that touch that, in the absence of a major gem, completes the look. This winter, I plan to use more of them and maybe look in my mothers wardrobe to see if she still keeps that cashmere scarf that I loved so much. What about youself, do you dare to wear a scarf in every possible way?

Questo vestito leggero e a disegni cachemire mi fa venire in mente il foulard, chissà é perchè é un motivo ricorrente nei classici foulard che quest'hanno vanno tantissimo; in spiaggia l'abbiamo rivisti annodati come parei, a bandana o addirittura a mo' di top, gonne e persino vestiti (vedi collezione P/E 2012 di D&G). Il foulard l'ho sempre associato alla maturità delle persone ma, mi sbagliavo sicuramente, il fatto é che per portarlo con eleganza e disinvoltura non è affatto facile; invece arricchisce el outfit e le da' quel tocco che, in mancanza del gioiello importante, ci completa il look. Quest'inverno mi sono proposta usarlo di più e magari, cercare negli armadi di mia mamma se, quel foulard a disegni cachemire che tanto mi piaceva, lo conserva ancora.E tu che farai? Ci provi a sbizzarrirti con i suoi mille modi di legarlo?

Este vestido ligero y con dibujos cachemir me hace pensar en el pañuelo muchas veces olvidados en nuestros look; quizás es porque es un tema recurrente en los pañuelos clásicos que este año vuelven a estar de moda; el verano pasado ya lo hemos visto en la playa anudado como un pareo, anudado en la cabeza, como top y hasta de falda o vestido (ver la colección S / S 2012 D & G). El pañuelo lo he siempre asociado con la madurez de las personas, pero estaba equivocada, la principal razón es que hay que llevarlo con elegancia y nonchalance y esto no es fácil conseguirlo. El pañuelo enriquece el outfit y le proporciona aquel toque que, en ausencia de una joya importante, sabe completar el look. Este invierno, me he propuesto usarlo más y tal vez buscar en los armarios de mi madre si, ese pañuelo cachemir que tanto me gustaba lo sigue guardando. Y tú, ¿intentarás llevar el pañuelo de las mil maneras posibles?

A Thrilling Plissé Dress

We´ve seen lots of light pleated dresses and skirts this summer, especially white ones. It´s impossible not to think of the legendary Marilyn Monroe in the movie “The Seven Year Itch“, standing over a ventilation grates wearing one with a deep neckline while the air lifts the dress. A dress that makes us feel a bit provocative like her but still sensual.

Vestiti e gonne svolazzanti e leggeri in plissé ne abbiamo visti molti quest’estate e sopratutto in bianco. É inevitabile pensare alla mitica Marilyn Monroe che indossava nel famoso film “Quando la moglie é in vacanza“ quel vestito plissé bianco con ampia scollatura e che passando sulla griglia di aerazione la gonna si solleva provocato dal passaggio di un treno della metropolitana. Un vestito che mi fa sentire un po’ come lei con quella sensualità provocante ma composta.

Last summer we´ve seen all kinds of stripes; horizontal, vertical, crossed, thin, thick and even zigzag. On one hand I really like them but on the other they remind me of the apron that I had to wear every day in elementary school! Anyway, what do you think of my outfit from the green mountains of Canazei?

I never thought that I would get up early and wait outside a Massimo Dutti store to open, but that´s just what I did this morning, as the sales started today I wanted to get my hand on some garments that I saw last week. So there I was for the first time in my life, I was expecting that it would be crowded but guess what… it was just me! I began to think that maybe it wasn´t today but at nine when they opened the doors there was actually a small crowd behind me.

I found everything that I wanted and I was able to pay without having to fight my way to the cashier. I don´t like the idea to find something that I like, put it down for a second just to find out that someone grabbed it in front of my eyes, then disappear in the crowd and me standing there helpless. Or maybe rummaging in the misplaced garments, wrinkled and mixed perhaps with others from past seasons…for sure I´m not a big FAN of sales! I prefer to wait a few days, maybe find something I like and do not need urgently. Today was it a bit different, more relaxed, maybe it’s because people have stopped buying because of the crisis?

Non avrei mai immaginato di recarmi di prima mattina ai saldi e trovarmi fuori dal negozio di Massimo Dutti per poter acchiappare i capi visti la scorsa settimana. Eppure, ero lá, per la prima volta, in vita mia, ed ero anche la prima ad esserci. Non c’era nessuno intorno, e dapprima ho quasi incominciato a sospettare che forse mi ero sbagliata di giorno ma, alle nove, si aprirono le porte e dietro di me vidi che, si era formata una fila abbastanza considerevole.

Ho trovato tutto quello che avevo adocchiato in precedenza, ed ho pagato tranquillamente senza spintoni. Proprio per paura di trovarmi alle prese con qualcuno che cerca di trovare il momento giusto per acchiappare quello che, tu in un momento di distrazione hai appoggiato un attimo e, vedere l’ultima taglia sparire sotto i tuoi occhi senza poter farci niente, oppure trovare banchi interi di capi arrotolati, sgualciti mischiati magari con altri di stagioni ormai passate, non sono una FAN dei saldi! Preferisco andare magari, qualche giorno più tardi e aspettare se vedo qualcosa d’occasione e che non mi serve con urgenza. Oggi é stato diverso, forse é perché: “La gente ha smesso di comprare per via della crisi?!”

Nunca pensé ir temprano por la mañana a las rebajas y estar fuera de la tienda de Massimo Dutti para atrapar aquellas prendas que vi la semana pasada. Sin embargo, allí estaba yo, por primera vez en mi vida, y también era la primera en estar allí. No había nadie alrededor, y al principio casi empezé a sospechar que tal vez me equivoqué de día, pero, a las nueve, se abrieron las puerta detrás de mí y vi que se había formado una cola bastante considerable.

He encontrado todo lo que había visto antes, y he pagado tranquilamente sin empujones. Justo por esta razón, tengo el temor de encontrarme con alguien que, trata de encontrar el momento adecuado para agarrar lo que en un momento de descuido hayas apoyado y verlo después desaparecer bajo mi mirada sin poder hacer nada por detenerla o quizás encontrarme rebuscando en medio de ropa toda mal colocadas, arrugadas mezclada tal vez, con otras de las temporadas pasadas, está entonces claro, que no soy muy FAN de la rebajas! Prefiero ir, unos días más tarde y esperar la oportunidad de ver algo que me guste y que no necesite con urgencia. Hoy ha sido diferente, tal vez es porque: “La gente ha dejado de comprar debido a la crisis?”

Gialla Come Il Sole!

If you think of YELLOW you most probably assosiate it with SUNLIGHT. Yellow is a typical summer colour; it´s warm, cheerful, positive, makes us feel good, alive and open minded. I’m not very fond of knitted jumpers, but the feeling of this one from Massimo Dutti has captivated me, it´s soft, light and perfect for an afternoon stroll. Here I wear it with a pleated skirt but some lace shorts could also be a perfect match. Do you like this outfit? I´m waiting for your comments. xoxo

Dici GIALLO e dici SOLE. Il giallo é sempre il colore dell’estate, un colore caldo, allegro, positivo, che ci fa sentire bene, pieni di vita, disponibili e aperti verso gli altri. Non sono molto amante della maglia traforata, ma il tatto di questa di Massimo Dutti mi ha subito rapita, morbida, leggera e perfetta per una passeggiata nel tardo pomeriggio. Io l’ho indossato con una gonna plissé ma con uno shorts in pizzo si abbina perfettamente. Vi é piaciuto questo outfit? Aspetto i vostri commenti xoxo.

Si dices AMARILLO, dices SOL. El color amarillo para el verano es siempre un color cálido, alegre, positivo, que nos hace sentir bien, llenos de vida, disponibles y abiertos hacia los demás. No soy muy aficionada a los jersey calado, pero la sensación que me dio este de Massimo Dutti me ha cautivado, suave, ligero y perfecto para un paseo por la tarde. I could never imagine that I would find a gold dress so light and easy to wear, and it´s even great to use during day time! This affordable one I bought at H&M and as gold is very trendy this spring / summer I’m sure that I´ll be wearing it a lot. Of course it will look better with a bit of sun tan but as the weather is changing a lot I matched it with a black leather jacket for a sportier and more relaxed look. What do you think about the outcome?

Non mi sarei mai immaginata di trovare un vestito dorato cosí leggero e facile da indossare anche di giorno! Questo l’ho comprato da H&M ad un prezzo accessibile e, seguendo la moda di questa primavera/estate, sono sicura che ne farò un buon uso. Certo, con un po’ di abbronzatura mi starà sicuramente meglio ma, in questi giorni ancora incerti, l’ho indossato con questo giubbino in pelle dando al look un tocco un po’ più sportivo e non troppo sofisticato. Che ve ne pare?

Nunca me imaginé encontrar un vestido dorado tan ligero y fácil de llevar, incluso durante el día! Esto me lo compré en H&M a un precio asequible y, siguiendo la moda de esta primavera / verano, estoy segura de que lo llevaré mucho. Viva La Donna!

I will continue to advocate that a woman should be feminine with her gestures, language, taste and whatever she´s wearing, I remember that my mother kept repeating it again and again when I was young. But of course I wanted to go my own way and experience new sensations that in the end turned out not to be so important! Therefore, to stay with the classic-modern style is essential to me and sooner or later you realize that in fashion you can try different styles but always with a touch of femininity, this is true whatever style you prefer; trash, gothic, hippie, preppy etc. Basically, all styles have a stamp that represents a particular moment in which we live and that is reflected in our daily outfit.

The black stretch skirt I wear in this look is a garment that never goes out of fashion and that marks the sinuous body of a woman with curves, in fact, the beautiful and sensual symbol of the 40s Rita Hayworth is fashionable again, maybe because as we live a life so hectic and stressful we try to turn back the clock. So, with the return of curves we wear long skirts, polka dots, bows and stiff (or round) collars to exalt an austere and a somewhat severe woman that hides her innate sensuality. Silk stockings gives the look a sexy touch; in the next post we ´ll talk a little about the impact of makeup.

Non mi stancherò di sostenere che la donna deve assolutamente essere femminile con qualsiasi capo indossi. Ricordo che mia mamma mi riprendeva in continuazione quando ero bambina e ancora una ragazzina, dicendomi che dovevo essere più “fine” nei gesti, parole e gusti. Ma, io invece volevo vivere la mia età un po’ ribelle e provare nuove sensazioni che poi, riscontravo che non erano poi così eccezionali! Rimanere quindi sul classico-moderno è per me fondamentale, col tempo ci si accorge, nella moda, che ci si può inoltrare in stili diversi ma, sempre con un tocco di femminilità; questo vale per lo stile rock, gotico, hippy, punk eccetera. In fondo tutti gli stili hanno un’impronta che rappresenta un determinato momento in cui viviamo e si rispecchia nell’outfit di tutti i giorni.

La gonna nera stretch che, in questo look indosso ,è un capo che non tramonterà mai e che ornamenta il corpo sinuoso della donna con le curve, infatti, esiste un ritorno a quella bellezza alla Rita Hayworth simbolo della sensualità anni ’40 che oggigiorno ci impegniamo a rivivere forse per quel bisogno che abbiamo di fermare il tempo di questa vita frenetica e stressante. Quindi, con il ritorno delle forme, si ritorna alle gonne lunghe, pois, fiocchi e colletti per immolare una donna più austera e in un certo senso severa ma, che nasconde la sua innata sensualità. Le calze velate poi rendono il tutto più sexy; nel prossimo post parleremo un po’ dell’effetto del trucco.

Voy a seguir defendiendo que la mujer debe ser femenina con cualquier prendas que lleve. Recuerdo, que mi madre me volvía a repetir una y otra vez cuando era una niña y aún adolescente, que tenía que ser más ”fina” en los gestos, palabras y gustos. Pero, yo quería vivir mi edad un poco rebelde y experimentar sensaciones nuevas que más tardes encontraba que no eran tan imprescindibles! Por lo tanto, permanecer en el estilo clásico-moderno es fundamental para mí, con el tiempo te das cuenta, en la moda, que se puede probar diferentes estilos pero, siempre con un toque de feminidad, esto vale para el estilo rock, estilo gótico, hippie, punk, etc. Básicamente, todos los estilos tienen una impronta que representa un momento particular en que vivimos y que se refleja en nuestros outfit de todos los días.

La falda negra stretch que llevo en este look, es una prenda que nunca pasará de moda, y que marca el cuerpo sinuoso de una mujer con curvas, de hecho, hay un retorno a ese hermoso símbolo de la sensualidad a la Rita Hayworth de los años ’40 que hoy en día queremos revivir quizás, por aquella necesidad de parar el tiempo de esta vida tan agitada y estresante. Así, con esta vuelta a las formas, se llevan las faldas largas, lunares, lazos y cuellos rígidos o redondos para exaltar a un mujer más austera y un poco severa, pero que esconde su sensualidad innata. Las medias de cristal hacen el look más sexy; en el próximo post vamos a hablar un poco del efecto del maquillaje.

There are combinations that are just perfect! Leaving modesty aside, I´ve been looking for a beige coat for a long time. Beige is a great colour, you can match beige with everything, it´s elegant and perfect with any outfit. In this outfit everything is new: the knitted fur waistcoat, the skirt from Adolfo Domínguez with transparent “petals” of different colours, and what can I say about the Furla bag, I just love it (as well it can be worn on the shoulder for a more casual look). Shoes with animal print are a must this year and although these heels are very high I had no problem wearing them the whole day but I had a pair of ballerinas in the bag just in case… At first sight it looks like the stockings have been stained but if you look closer you´ll see that it´s not the case. I believe that this outfit was perfect for a very special day. What about you, what do you think? Do you like it?

Ci sono accostamenti che risultano semplicemente perfetti! Modesti a parte, il giaccone lo cercavo da tempo e mi mancava nel mio armadio, il beige e´un colore che abbini con tutto e risulta elegante e perfetto con qualsiasi capo. Questo outfit é assolutamente tutto nuovo: il gilet in pelliccia, la gonnellina di Adolfo Dominguez che sembra che é stata confezionata con petali trasparenti di diverse nuance e poi che dire del borsone della Furla, assolutamente fantastico, si può portare anche a tracolla grazie alla banda marrone e quindi in modo più sportivo, che dire poi delle scarpe un must di quest’anno per il suo animalier print, anche se altissime le ho portate con disinvoltura per tutta la giornata alla feria anche se pensavo, al contrario, che non avessi potuto resistere per tutta la giornata; mi ero munita, infatti, di ballerine speciali piegabili che portavo nella borsa ma, che ripeto non ho dovuto usare. Le collant che indosso mi sembrano originalissime, sembrano schizzate dal fango! Insomma ancora una volta ho azzeccato il mio lok per una giornata tutta speciale. e tu che ne pensi? Ti piace?

Hay combinaciones que son simplemente perfectas! Dejamos la modestia a parte, el abrigo lo estube buscando desde hace mucho tiempo en este color y que faltaba en mi armario, el color beige que combina con todo, resulta elegante y perfecto con cualquier prenda. Este outfit es absolutamente todo lo nuevo: el chaleco hecho de punto y pelo, la falda de Adolfo Domínguez, que parece que ha sido confeccionada con pétalos transparentes de diferentes tonos, y que decir del bolso de Furla, absolutamente fantástico, también puede llevarse cruzado con la banda marrón y le da un aire más deportivo, ademas los zapatos son un must de esta temporada con su estampado animal, a pesar de que tienen unos tacones de vértigo lo llevé durante todo el día sin problema, en principio pensaba que no hubiese podido llevarlos todo el día así que me llevé en el bolso unas bailarinas plegables para cuando me hubiese sido imposible llevar estos tacones, pero, repito que no me hicieron falta. Las medís parecen que hayan sido manchadas por haber sido salpicadas! Así que una vez mas acerté con el look para un día muy especial. Y a tí ¿qué te parece? ¿Te ha gustado?

When A Waistcoat Takes The Lead – At The Vatican

Well, we ´ve seen it everywhere, the fur waistcoat is a must this year and I´ve almost exaggerated it but living on an island where it´s not too cold I can wear with just a sweater or wool dress. Here I´m wearing it together with a suede dress during my last stay in Rome. Of course it´s not a garment that is too elegant, it´s more suited for casual looks, for example it´s great for a relaxed jeans look. If you really want to wear it for a special night, then you should choose a longer model than the one I´m wearing, preferebly gray or black, matched with black leather or satin gloves adorned with Swarovski or a small rosette, the result is sophisticated and original. For sure it will draw the attention and admiration from others. Try it and let me know how it worked out.

Ebbene, l’abbiamo visto ovunque, il gilet di pelliccia e´un must di quest’anno; io ne ho fatto un uso forse esagerato ma, abitando in un’isola non troppo fredda me lo posso godere con un maglioncino sotto o un vestitino di lana, quí lo indosso con uno scamiciato in renna che ho indossato nei giorni passati a Roma. Certo non e’ un capo elegante ma, va portato per un look basicamente casual, i jeans sono una variante azzeccata. Ma se veramente ne vuoi acquistare uno per una serata speciale, compratene uno grigio perla o nero magari un po´piu’ lungo del mio e portalo con dei guanti alti in pelle nera o raso pesante adornato con degli strass o con un fiocchetto, il risultato sara´sofisticato e originale, sono sicura che farai colpo su chi avra´il piacere di vederti. Provaci e fammi sapere.

Bueno, lo hemos visto por todo, el chaleco de piel es un must para este año; y lo he llevado casi de manera exagerada pero, al vivir en una isla no hace mucho frío y puedo disfrutar llevándolo con un suéter o un vestido de lana, aquí lo llevo con un vestido de antes que llevé en los días que pasé en Roma. Está claro que no es una prenda muy elegante y se adapta más a un look casual, llévalo con vaquero para un resultado desenfadado. Si realmente quieres llevarlo para una noche especial, entonces eliges un tipo de chaleco más largo que el que llevo yo, en gris perla o negro y conjúntalo con unos guantes en cuero negro o satén adornados con swarovski o con un lasito, el resultado será sofisticado y original, estoy segura de que causarás sensación a quien te mire. Pruébalo y cuéntame que tal.

Another Way To Wear It

Well, as I told you, on my last vacations in Rome I was wearing this waistcoat practically all the time. This time in a casual but yet elegant way with a wool skirt and a basic tee. Over it I wear a trench coat and the shoes are retro style with laces. I had a nice walk downtown and on Via del Babbuino I stopped for a cappuccino, something that I never miss when in Rome.

Beh, vi avevo avvisato, non me lo sarei tolto di dosso e ne ho fatto il mio capo principale nelle mie vacanze passate a Roma. Quí l’ho voluto portare in maniera un po´piu´elegante ma informale con una gonnellina in lana e una maglia basica. Il tutto portato sotto un impermiabile classico e un paio di scarpe con i lacci stile retró. Una bella passeggiata a Via del Babbuino dove mi sono fermata solo per prendere un capuccino che non mi posso assolutamente perdere quando mi trovo a Roma.

Bueno, os advertí, no me lo he quitado de encima y lo he convertido en la prenda principal en mis vacaciones pasadas en Roma. Aquí lo llevo de manera informal, pero un poco más elegante con una falda de lana y una camiseta básica. Encima llevo un impermeable y un par de zapatos con cordones de estilo retro. Di un agradable paseo en la calle Via del Babuino donde me detuve solo para tomarme un capuchino al cual nunca renuncio cuando estoy en Roma.
