I will continue to advocate that a woman should be feminine with her gestures, language, taste and whatever she´s wearing, I remember that my mother kept repeating it again and again when I was young. But of course I wanted to go my own way and experience new sensations that in the end turned out not to be so important! Therefore, to stay with the classic-modern style is essential to me and sooner or later you realize that in fashion you can try different styles but always with a touch of femininity, this is true whatever style you prefer; trash, gothic, hippie, preppy etc. Basically, all styles have a stamp that represents a particular moment in which we live and that is reflected in our daily outfit.

The black stretch skirt I wear in this look is a garment that never goes out of fashion and that marks the sinuous body of a woman with curves, in fact, the beautiful and sensual symbol of the 40s Rita Hayworth is fashionable again, maybe because as we live a life so hectic and stressful we try to turn back the clock. So, with the return of curves we wear long skirts, polka dots, bows and stiff (or round) collars to exalt an austere and a somewhat severe woman that hides her innate sensuality. Silk stockings gives the look a sexy touch; in the next post we ´ll talk a little about the impact of makeup.

Non mi stancherò di sostenere che la donna deve assolutamente essere femminile con qualsiasi capo indossi. Ricordo che mia mamma mi riprendeva in continuazione quando ero bambina e ancora una ragazzina, dicendomi che dovevo essere più “fine” nei gesti, parole e gusti. Ma, io invece volevo vivere la mia età un po’ ribelle e provare nuove sensazioni che poi, riscontravo che non erano poi così eccezionali! Rimanere quindi sul classico-moderno è per me fondamentale, col tempo ci si accorge, nella moda, che ci si può inoltrare in stili diversi ma, sempre con un tocco di femminilità; questo vale per lo stile rock, gotico, hippy, punk eccetera. In fondo tutti gli stili hanno un’impronta che rappresenta un determinato momento in cui viviamo e si rispecchia nell’outfit di tutti i giorni.

La gonna nera stretch che, in questo look indosso ,è un capo che non tramonterà mai e che ornamenta il corpo sinuoso della donna con le curve, infatti, esiste un ritorno a quella bellezza alla Rita Hayworth simbolo della sensualità anni ’40 che oggigiorno ci impegniamo a rivivere forse per quel bisogno che abbiamo di fermare il tempo di questa vita frenetica e stressante. Quindi, con il ritorno delle forme, si ritorna alle gonne lunghe, pois, fiocchi e colletti per immolare una donna più austera e in un certo senso severa ma, che nasconde la sua innata sensualità. Le calze velate poi rendono il tutto più sexy; nel prossimo post parleremo un po’ dell’effetto del trucco.

Voy a seguir defendiendo que la mujer debe ser femenina con cualquier prendas que lleve. Recuerdo, que mi madre me volvía a repetir una y otra vez cuando era una niña y aún adolescente, que tenía que ser más ”fina” en los gestos, palabras y gustos. Pero, yo quería vivir mi edad un poco rebelde y experimentar sensaciones nuevas que más tardes encontraba que no eran tan imprescindibles! Por lo tanto, permanecer en el estilo clásico-moderno es fundamental para mí, con el tiempo te das cuenta, en la moda, que se puede probar diferentes estilos pero, siempre con un toque de feminidad, esto vale para el estilo rock, estilo gótico, hippie, punk, etc. Básicamente, todos los estilos tienen una impronta que representa un momento particular en que vivimos y que se refleja en nuestros outfit de todos los días.

La falda negra stretch que llevo en este look, es una prenda que nunca pasará de moda, y que marca el cuerpo sinuoso de una mujer con curvas, de hecho, hay un retorno a ese hermoso símbolo de la sensualidad a la Rita Hayworth de los años ’40 que hoy en día queremos revivir quizás, por aquella necesidad de parar el tiempo de esta vida tan agitada y estresante. Así, con esta vuelta a las formas, se llevan las faldas largas, lunares, lazos y cuellos rígidos o redondos para exaltar a un mujer más austera y un poco severa, pero que esconde su sensualidad innata. Las medias de cristal hacen el look más sexy; en el próximo post vamos a hablar un poco del efecto del maquillaje.

My Fox Fur Waistcoat

Shopping, I passed a shop window that caught my attention, so I went inside to have a look, saw this leather waistcoat and fell in love. On my last trip to Rome, it became my main garment, easy to match, soft and comfortable, but above all fashionable. Traveling a lot, over the years I’ve come to the conclusion that luggage becomes an obstacle and that a bag should be light and easy to bring. In fact, I don´t like traveling with suitcases, briefcases, beauty box etc. It’s so easy to move around an airport especially if you have to make a transfer to another airline, without having to go back to check-in and pass the security control, if you only travel with hand luggage. In my next look I´ll be back with the same waistcoat but in a different way, do not miss it …

In giro per negozi, passai davanti ad una vetrina che mi invito’ ad entrare e dando un’occhiata vidi questo gilet di pelliccia e me ne innamorai subito. In questo viaggio a Roma me lo sono portato e ne ho fatto il mio principale capo, confortevole, morbido e piacevole da indossare ma, sopratutto alla moda. Viaggiando spesso, ho capito attraverso gli anni, che la valigia e´un ostacolo e che deve diventare un accessorio leggero e comodo. Infatti, odio andare sull’aereo piena di valigie, valigette e beauty-case; e poi, e´cosí comodo spostarsi negli aeroporti, sopratutto se si deve fare un transfert con un’altra Compagnia senza dover fare il check-in un’altra volta e passare il controllo di polizia. Insomma, ritornando al gilet, non me lo sono tolta di dosso! Con il prossimo outfit vi faró vedere la variante indossando questo stesso gilet, non te lo perdere…

Yendo de compras, pasé por delante del escaparate de una tienda que me llamó la atención y entré para echar un vistazo, en seguida vi este chaleco de piel y me enamoré. En el último viaje a Roma, lo convertí en mi prenda principal, combinable, suave y cómoda de llevar, pero, sobre todo, de moda. Viajando a menudo, me he dado cuenta, en los últimos años, que llevarse la maleta llega a ser un obstáculo y que por lo contrario debe convertirse en un accesorio ligero y cómodo. De hecho, no me gusta ir al avión llena de maletas, maletines y neceser. ¡Es tan fácil moverse en los aeropuertos, especialmente si tienes que hacer un transbordo con otra compañía sin tener que volver hacer el check-in y pasar el control policial. En definitiva, volviendo al chaleco, no me lo he quitado de encima! El próximo look llevaré el mismo chaleco de diferente manera, no te lo pierdas…

Some Must-Haves For The Summer Season 2011

I´m really waiting for the summer to arrive, although we can still expect some days when we´ll have to wear a jersey, one thing is for sure, the summer is almost here and we all need to renew our wardrobe a bit to be fashionable. So, here is a list of some must-haves: a long dress (hippie or boho style) with floral print when you go to the beach (D&G, Pucci, Just Cavalli, Etro), jeans or white shorts (Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Tommy Hilfiger), short asymmetric top above the belly button (Michael Kors, Band of Outsiders, Missoni, DKNY), a masculine shirt to be used instead of a sarong (Tommy Hilfiger), sarong skirt (Iceberg), culotte bikini (Calzedonia, Golden Point, Porzia T, Levante), block colored trousers (Fendi, Giambattista Valli), a pair of sandals with ankle straps or ballerinas (Chloe), high platform shoes (Hermes) and a ballerina style dress with lots of tulle for the evenings (Chloe, Mango). It´s easy to match these with each other and they are easy to take on your next holidays.

Sono ormai ansiosa che arrivi l’estate, anche se si prevedono giorni incerti, forse dovremo rimettere mano al nostro golfino ma, una cosa e’ certa , l’estate e’ alle porte e abbiamo bisogno di rinnovarci un po’ per essere alla moda. Dunque, eccovi la lista dei capi indispensabili: un vestito lungo a fiori, stile hippy o boho per una passeggiata lungomare (D&G, Pucci, Just Cavalli, Etro), jeans short o bianco (Ralph Lauren, Balmain, Tommy Hilfiger), top asimmetrico e al di sopra dell’ombelico (Michael Kors, Band of Outsiders, Missoni, DKNY) una camicia maschile da indossare come copricostume (Tommy Hilfiger), una gonna pareo (Iceberg), un costume due pezzi con culotte (Calzedonia, Golden Point, Porzia T, Levante), un pantalone fluo (Fendi, Giambattista Valli), un paio di sandali con il cinturino alla caviglia o una ballerina leggera (Chloe) e uno zatterone alto con plateau (Hermes) e per la sera indossa un vestito nude stile ballerina (Chloe, Mango). Il tutto combinabile e facile da mettere in valigia per la tua prossima vacanza.

Estoy ansiosa para que llegue por fin el verano, aunque se prevén días incierto y volveremos a meter mano al jersey, una cosa es cierta, el verano esta’ por llegar y tenemos que renovarnos un poco para seguir la moda. un par de sandalia con tira al tobillo o unas bailarinas ligera(Chloe) y un zapato alto con plataforma (Hermes) y para la noche lleva un vestido estilo bailarina con muchos tul (Chloe, Mango). Todo combina entre sí y es fácil para llevarlos en la maleta de tus próxima vacaciones.

Never Cast a Clout…

Official today is the day when spring begins, and even if we´ve had a sunny day here in Palma the forecast for tomorrow is rain. You better not forget your umbrella and raincoat at home ´cause as the saying goes “never cast a clout till May be out”. Here you have an outfit that works well for these days of uncertain weather.

Oggi, ufficialmente e’ iniziata la primavera ma, anche se quí a Palma di Maiorca ha brillato un sole fantastico, le previsioni dicono che domani verra’ la pioggia. Bisogna tenere ancora l’ombrello e il soprabito a mano e come dice il detto: aprile non ti scoprire, maggio adagio adagio, giugno apri il pugno. Ecco un outfit che vi puo’ servire per questo tempo un po’ pazzerello.

Hoy es el día oficial que nos indica que la primavera ha empezado pero, aunque aquí en Palma de Mallorca ha brillado un sol esplendido, las previsiones para mañana dicen que habrá’ lluvia. New Season – 6 Combinations

Next season is just around the corner so soon we´ll not have to wear heavy winter coats any longer but lighter and colourful garments. I wish it arrives soon, and I´m already checking up what´s out there so here are some ideas for possible combinations.
